Some time ago, Jacques Houdek, Croatian representative in Eurovision 2017, with his song "My friend", revealed that he will take another shot at Eurovision – this time as a composer!
It was speculated that his hopeful could be Roko Blažević – who won popular talent show Pinkove Zvedice in 2017 and who was a finalist and runner-up in the music show Zvijezde, where Jacques was his mentor.
Some of Roko's musical idols are Eurovision stars Jacques, Tony Cetinski and Toše Proeski. During his journey in the contest, Roko impressed the audience with his covers of Eurovision artists like ABBA and Conchita Wurst.

In his interview for Croatian newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija, Jacques confirmed the speculations, revealing that his song written for Roko is named „Dream“, and continued:
„Roko is completely ready to take this challenge... we can't wait for the audience to listen to the song and watch Roko's performance...“
Roko shares the same enthusiasm:
„...when Jacques called me and said he's got a perfect song for me and wants to submit it to Dora, I wasn't hesitating a single moment...I liked the song on the first listen and I think we recorded an excellent song, which I believe both jury and audience will recognize...performance in Israel would be a dream come true for me, and I am not afraid – I am ready to make it real, along with my team, and I am grateful to Jacques for that chance...“
The song submission for Dora is closed. In the next few days, we will find out which are the lucky sixteen of 150 submitted songs that will get a chance to win the ticket to Tel Aviv on the night of the national final, the 16th of February.
