Finland | Eurovision Act to be announced on January 29th

Finnish broadcaster YLE have announced that they will be revealing their act for Eurovision 2019 on January 29th at 12:00 CET.
In the run up to their announcement, they have also revealed that they will be dropping some hints about the artist on the official social media accounts for YLE.
Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2019 will take place on March 2nd. The venue will be announced the same day as the artist announcement. At the moment, it is not known how many songs the artist will sing in the show, or what time the show till be airing.
This is only the second time in Finland's Eurovision history that they have opted for an internal selection, rather than hosting a national final.
Last year, YLE internally selected Saara Aalto, who sang three songs in UMK, with the winning song being determined by a mix of televote and international jury vote. Saara brought Finland to the Eurovision final for the first time since 2014. She only just qualified, finishing in 10th place in the semi final, and going on to finish in 25th place in the final.
