Germany | National Final Date Revealed, Wildcard Seventh Act Added
Today, NDR held a livestream via Facebook to announce some information for their forthcoming selection show "Unser Lied für Israel" which included the date of the show and the inclusion of a seventh act competing!

It was announced that the selection show shall be taking place on Friday 22nd February 2019 making it one of the later selections in the national final season, the reason for it to be on a Friday as opposed to a weekend date was for it not clash with other German broadcasting shows in dedicated time slots. It was also announced the show will take place in the capital, Berlin with it lasting two hours and beginning at 20:15 German time. It was also announced that Barbara Schöneberger will return as host of the selection, after missing the 2018 due to committing to a different role before the dates were announced for the 2018 selection, she will present alongside one half of the 2018 national final team, Linda Zervakis.
The biggest news arguably is that a seventh act has been added to the seleciton and in contention to represent Germany. Despite six being announced back in November, only today have they revealed a seventh act and song will compete alongside them, the honour goes to Carlotta Truman and Laurita who will be competing as duo Sisters and will sing the song "Sister". The other six song titles and songwriters on each song were also released and are as follows:
Aly Ryan - "Wear Your Love"
BB Thomaz - "Demons"
Gregor Hagele - "Let Me Go"
Lilly Among Clouds - "Surprise"
Linus Bruhn - "Our City"
Makeda - "The Day I Loved You Most"
Sisters - "Sister"
The German selection winner will be decided via a combination of televoting, the expert jury and Eurovision jury, mirroring the format of last year, all three components will judge the live performances on the 22nd February and those performances alone.
