San Marino | International Artist Selected For Tel Aviv; Announcement Jan 21st
San Marino earlier in the year announced their unique selection format 1in360 would not be returning for their 2019 entry after Jessika and Jennifer Brening failed to make the final and the selection being panned by many fans, tonight the broadcaster has announced however that an international act will be flying the flag for San Marino in Tel Aviv. The artist announcement will be released on January 21st.
SMRTV today not only announced that the artist representing the minnow nation will not be from the shores of San Marino but also the song that they will competing with has also been finalised and recorded. head of Delegation, Alessandro Capicchioni said:
"We are soon ready to host an official press conference in a few weeks time, when we will give further details about RTV,s participation. At the moment we are working on the post production of the song and videoclip"
In Lisbon, Jessika and Jenifer finished a low 17th in their semi final scoring only 28 points from the jury and televote combined with their song "Who We Are" thus failing to qualify.
