Marianna was a popular singer in Greece who had a long career not just in music, but also in theatre and film. Before she made her singing debut, Marianna studied History of Art at the University of Kentucky in the United States and Classical and Modern dance in London.

Marianna's career got off to a flying start when she performed in the comedy play "Lysistrata" in Epidaurus. Since then, she went onto perform in many other plays and musicals, including Annie, Chicago and Irma. She has also worked behind the scenes as well; from 2001 to 2003, she served as the Director in the children's department of the Greek National Theatre.
