A statement by the general director of RTCG discusses the selection process; "Selection commission, which this year also consisted of renowned musicians and creators - two ladies: Aleksandra Vojvodić Jovović, Master of Music and Opera Soloists and Branka Banović, editor in the editorial office of the music program in Television of Montenegro, and composers and authors Mihailo Radonjić, Slobodan Bučevac and the President of the Commission, Vladimir Maras, has opted for these five, after listening and scoring all the compositions that satisfied the propositions of the competition".

No details of when or where Montevizija 2019 will take place have been released yet but news is expected to come soon with a date set in February 2019.

In 2018, Vanja Radovanović represented Montenegro after winning the inaugural Montevizija national selection process with his song 'Inje'. Unfortunately, the performance was not enough to secure a place in the final for Montenegro as they placed 16th in Semi Final Two with 40 points. Check out our interview with Vanja here.
