Ireland | Una Healy Allegedly RTÉ's Desired Candidate For Tel Aviv

Tabloid The Irish Mail on Sunday has reported who RTÉ's top pick for Tel Aviv is and its none other than Ex-Saturdays member Una Healy.

Una rose to fame as part of the five piece girl group The Saturdays, who performed for seven years between 2007 up to 2014, Una, 37 apparently topped the list of acts RTÉ wish list for Tel Aviv, a source at the news outlet cited them saying at a recent "think-in" in regards as to who should follow Ryan O'Shaughnessy saying:

"Una would be a great choice for Ireland's Eurovision entry, she has an amazing voice and has years of experience performing live in front of thousands of people so nerves wouldn't be a problem for her"

However as we have seen, being a big name and previous live experience doesn't guarantee success, take example Ireland's own Nicky Byrne, who represented them in 2016, after an amazing career as part of the boyband Westlife, failed to make it to the final with his song "Sunlight". This also would not be the first time Una would have competed at Eurovision, having previously been a backing vocalist on the 2006 entry "Every Song Is A Cry For Love" by Brian Kennedy.
