JESC 2019 | Russia confirms participation for Junior Eurovision 2019

Just under two weeks since Junior Eurovision 2018 came to a close and Russia have already confirmed their participation for next years contest, and they have also announced that they will begin their selection process soon.
Once again, the Igor Krutoy Academy, which works with Russian kids television channel, Karusel, will be working together to organise Russia's participation in Junior Eurovision 2019.
The Igor Krutoy academy has revealed on Russian social media site, VK, that the selection process will begin soon, with the rules and regulations to follow shortly after.
Junior Eurovision 2019 will mark Russia's 15th participation in the contest. Russia have had a lot of success in Junior Eurovision, winning the contest twice, in 2006 and 2017, and achieving a further 7 top 5 placings. Anna Filipchuk with her song "Unbreakable" achieved 10th place for Russia in Junior Eurovision 2018, their lowest placing in the contest; however, her score of 122 points is their 4th highest score to date.
