Slovenia | BQL out of EMA 2019
The two times consecutive runner-up duo, BQL have announced that they will not take part in EMA 2019.

Rok and Anej Piletič (BQL) have previously tried to represent Slovenia twice at the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing second in EMA on both occasions. On each of the two attempts BQL won the public vote, but failed to win the jury vote, resulting in them narrowly missing out on Eurovision.
BQL have revealed their decision to skip the show on their Facebook account. Apparently their latest single ''Peru" was supposed to be part of the Slovenian national final for 2019 but they changed their minds at the last minute. The duo explained:
""Peru" was created for EMA 2019 and our third attempt to get to Eurovision! And after all, we decided that this year will skip EMA and publish the song in December."
