The national broadcaster for Australia, SBS has recently revealed that they have received over 700 submissions in it's search for it's next Eurovision star.

For now, the job is left to special judges who will go through, and shortlist the songs, and match them with the artists they feel best matches the criteria and style of song. SBS have not revealed the names of the artists yet, however they have hinted there maybe some well respected singers in the line up.
After four years of internal selections, the country has decided to hold a national final to find a song that has a chance of beating 41 others at the contest to be held in Tel Aviv.
So far we know that the show will be produced by SBS and Blink Tv Australia, and will be hosted by Myf Warhurst, and Joel Creasey. The final will also be held on Saturday 9th February 2019, and will be broadcast live from the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition centre.
