Belarus | Alekseev battles heartbreak with new single 'Kak ty tam'
Alekseev represented Belarus at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year in Lisbon, Portugal and whilst he unfortunately was unable to qualify out of semi final one with 'Forever', that hasn't put him off continuing his to date very successful music career! His new single 'Kak ty tam' translates to 'How've You Been?' and you should definitely give it a listen further down.

Since reaching the semi finals of The Voice of Ukraine in 2014, Alekseev was launched to fame when his single 'Pyanoye solntse' topped the charts in Russia and also had great success across Eastern Europe. In the years since, the young Ukrainian singer has received countless awards and nominations which has of course built up a solid fanbase. 'Kak ty tam' follows a similar trend to 'Forever', a love song all about the events after a break-up, the heartbreak, loneliness and emotions that most can relate to. No video yet but check out the official audio for the new single here:
The melancholic verses are complimented well by the large production and electro beats found in the chorus as he pours his heart out in to his lyrics. Upon its release, the song has already been getting a lot of airplay across Eastern Europe with Alekseev posting to his official Facebook, "For me, this is a revelation with every listener".
In Eurovision, Alekseev and 'Forever' placed 16th in Semi Final One, scoring 65 points meaning that he failed to qualify for the final. That being said - the performance will go down in Eurovision history as being very memorable; with the choreography including being shot by a rose-arrow and featuring an incredibly passionate dancer.

ALEKSEEV - KAK KY TAM LYRICS (Translated)
On this cold morning
The sky is painting pictures
I wipe out your profile
With a cup of black coffee
Again my thoughts are running in circles
We're losing each other
Our photo's on the table
And everything makes me shake
Relax, relax, relax
I'm relieving my fatigue
With an herbal liqueur
A warm bath and a cigar
But the soul doesn't heal with either sleep
Or herbal tea
Your keys are in the kitchen
Oh God, how I miss you
How've you been?
How've you been?
Do you have someone
To kiss you tenderly in the morning?
How've you been?
How've you been?
Are you warm?
Who will show up in your dreams tonight?
How've you been?
Well, how've you been?
I miss your hands so much
How've you been, how've you been?
I know that time heals wounds
But it still hasn't gotten easier for me
Minor notes again
We're proud idiots
Every morning
It's as if I'm dying
These thoughts are running in circles
How is it that we're now apart
If you really can
Then so can I
Relax, relax, relax
But it's so hard to
Not think about us
Looks like I'm hopeless
You see, the soul doesn't heal
With either sleep or herbal tea
Why are you so quiet?
I need you so badly
How've you been?
How've you been?
Do you have someone
To kiss you tenderly in the morning?
How've you been?
How've you been?
Are you warm?
Who will show up in your dreams tonight?
How've you been?
Well, how've you been?
I miss your hands so much
How've you been, how've you been?
I know that time heals wounds
But it still hasn't gotten easier for me
