Spain | 'Perfect song' for Eurovision is out!

As Eurovoxx reported earlier this week, more than 1000 songs are submitted for the Spanish preselection and some of the final sixteen Operación Triunfo 2018 contestants will represent Spain in Tel Aviv with the chosen song.

One of the 1000 songs is already out and you can listen to it in the video below.

Carlos Jean, famous Spanish DJ, music producer and singer, has run a campaign on YouTube with the aim to create a perfect song ("La Canción Perfecta") to represent Spain in Eurovision Song Contest. He composed the base of a song and invited people to help him write the perfect song and upload their proposals on YouTube along with hashtag #lacancionperfecta.

Now the search is over and the song is out!

The song is called Tocaremos el Cielo (We will touch the sky).

Carlos Jean added that the song will be proposed for Famous

..because we think he is perfect as a Eurovision contestant to sing this song..

The song starts at 4:46 minute of this video. You can check it out and decide for yourself is it really a perfect song for Eurovision:

Some of the familiar names to Eurovision fandom have also submitted their entries. One of them is Ruth Lorenzo, Spanish representative in Eurovision 2014. She revealed during the gala 8 of Operación Triunfo that she has submitted songs for Spain's preselection process. Also - Brisa Fenoy, the composer of Aitana and Ana Guerra’s last year's Eurovision Gala entry Lo Malo seems to be another well-known name in the race.

Finnish singer Emma Sandström, who appeared in Finland’s national selection Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu in 2017, and San Marino's selection show 1in360 in 2018 still hopes for her Eurovision success, this time as a composer. She revealed some interesting facts about the entry she has submitted for Operación Triunfo 2018 Eurovision Gala:

"The song is gonna be in Spanish and I’m gonna sing the demo. Imagine Shakira meets Jennifer Lopez meets a little Avicii meets Spain and imagine also kind of a Eurovision slash football arena. Just an arena anyway and dancing!"
