How Was Darina Krasnovetska Chosen?
This year Ukraine opted for a national final, that saw ten talented, young singers compete. However, instead of a televised show, the broadcaster opted to allow a process of elimination that saw one act, after another gradually eliminated. This happened over a period of several days, from votes cast online. Between 28th August to the 3rd September 2018 it was decided that Darina Krasnovetska would fly the flag for Ukraine. A jury panel of music experts looked at the top singers, and it was Darina who shone through.
Eurovoxx Reacts To Darina Krasnovetska:
Ukraine At The Junior Eurovision Song Contest:
This year will mark Ukraine's thirteenth participation at the contest. They made their debut back in 2006, and have been present ever since. Back then Nazar Slyusarchuk came 6th with the song "Khlopchyk Rock 'n' Roll." The countries best result at the contest back in 2012 when Anastasiya Petryk won with "Nebo" scoring 138 points. The country have always done fairly well, making top ten on eight occasions. They have come second twice, back in 2008, and 2013. Their worst result came in 2010 when Yulia Gurska came last with "Miy litak". Could Darina Krasnovetsaka make it a second win for Ukraine?
All the team at Eurovoxx would like to wish this young, talented singer a "Успіху"!!!! in Minsk.
