Germany | A welcome return for Lena with new bop 'Thank You'
On her first appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010, German singer Lena won the competition with quirky pop song 'Satellite' bringing the contest to Dusseldorf in 2011 where she once again competed this time with the dark and mysterious 'Taken By A Stranger' went on to place tenth. Since then Lena has become a star in Germany and across Europe - releasing four albums and countless amazing singles. The lead single from her upcoming fifth studio album 'Only Love, L' has been released - and it's a great bop called 'Thank You'!

Some of her original tracks have been pretty amazing - with 'Traffic Lights', 'Stardust', 'Wild & Free' all standing out - so there's always pressure for Lena to match her previous incredible releases and new single 'Thank You' is definitely up there! In the song, Lena sings about themes about forgiveness after being let down - with the main hook being "Thank you, for knocking me down" and her declaration that she is stronger now. There's no official video yet but you can check out the song on YouTube now:
The song was collaboratively written by Lena, Simon Triebel, Fraser T. Smith, UK singer Jess Glynne, Janee Bennett and producer Beatgees. In addition to Jess Glynne - who earlier this year was crowned the most successful British female with the most Number Ones in history - Fraser T. Smith is also a huge name who is perhaps best name for writing for Sam Smith and Adele's smash hit 'Set Fire To The Rain'.
