Sweden | Lina Hedlund Rumoured For Melodifestivalen 2019

Just two days ago, Eurovoxx reported that 'Jon Henrik Fjällgren' had been tipped by the Swedish media to be participating at the Melodifestivalen 2019, for a third time. Now, another name has been brought forward, and that is, none other than Lina Hedlund. She is most famous for being part of the former, and popular group Alcazar, who have on several occasions been present at the Swedish national final.
Sweden's tabloid newspaper 'Aftonbladet' have added her name to an ever growing list of singers it believes will be present at the Swedish national final. It will be several weeks, before the official announcement comes from SVT, but it will be interesting to see how many names of those singers mentioned are correct.
According to further reports by the paper, the song is destined to be a modern pop-schlarger song written by Dotter. However, the details of the song writer maybe incorrect as the singer, and song writer has stated that she has no interest in being involved with the contest again. In several weeks time we will know if this rumour is true.
It has only been recently that "Alcazar" has disbanded, after nearly twenty years at the top. This has meant the talented singer is now prepared to go it alone. However, if yesterday's rumour is true, it will be the second time the singer has sung solo, having done so back in 2003 with "Nothing can stop me". The year before, she tried with her sister Hanna Hedlund, with the song "Big Time". A further three times, Lina has been present at the Melodifestivalen with the group alcazar. They performed, "Stay the night" (2009), "Headlines" (2010) and in 2014 with "Blame it on the disco". Therefore, if true it would be her sixth Melodifestivalen appearance.
Aftonbladet have named over twelve names that they expect to see in the Melodifestivalen 2019, they include Vlad Reiser, Ann-Louise Hanson, Oscar Enestad, Jon Henrik Fjällgren, and Wiktoria Johansson to name a few. Will Lina's name be called out when the names are officially released in a few weeks time?
