Sweden | Jon Henrik Fjällgren Rumoured To Return To Melodifestivalen 2019


Could it be third time lucky for Jon Henrik Fjällgren? If the rumours in the Swedish press are to be believed, the young singer could once again try his luck, and be participating at the Melodifestivalen 2019. Recently, the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet have been going into over drive with a list of names of participants they believe will be part of next years show. Now they have added two time former entrant Jon to the list.

It seems that it would be all about the right song. The paper have reported that he has indeed been approached by SVT who are keen to have him appear for a third time, with the singer stating he would only appear if the right song was found. Reports suggests he has collaborated with with an un-named composer, who together have crafted the perfect song for Melodifestivalen.

His first attempt at representing Sweden at Eurovision came in 2015, where he would sing "Jag är fri (Manne leam frijje)". The song saw him place second, behind Måns Zelmerlöw's "Heroes", which would ultimately win Eurovision that year. His Melodifestivalen entry would chart at number 8 that year. His second attempt came in 2017 where he sang "En värld full av strider (Eatneme gusnie jeenh dåaroeh)" with Aninia that saw him finish in third place. The song would chart at number 12. Aftonbladet have already reported that they are confident that Anton Hagman, Jan Malmsjö, Wiktoria, Nano, Arivingarna are just a few names that will definitely be in the show. It is that time of the year where these rumours will be officially confirmed.
