JESC 2018 | The Stage For this Years Junior Eurovision Is Now Complete

With less than two weeks before the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 takes place, the organisers of the contest in Belarus have confirmed that the stage is now set, and complete.

With many fans across social media hailing the stage one of the best in the contests 16 year history, the singers will get their chance to see it up front in a weeks time when the rehearsals begin. BTRC have been very efficient with getting the design, and construction in place. It has taken the team behind this years contest, less than 2 weeks to construct it. Work began on November 4th 2018.

This years Junior Eurovision hosts

This year the contest will be hosted by Eugene Perlin, Helena Meraai and Zena. Eugene is a BTRC TV host and Eurovision Song Contest commentator, Helena represented Belarus in 2017 in Tbilisi and Zena is a singer and artist.

Rehearsals for this years hosts, including the extras have already begun in earnest, with these running very smoothly after day one. The three presenters were quick to show off the stage, and their presence in it, with an Instagram post earlier.

The European Broadcasting Union have also said that this years show will be using technology that has not been seen at any other Eurovision events from before, and will be showcased in two weeks time. Traditionally, new ideas for Eurovision have tended to be trialed at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in the past, and if successful used for the adult version.

Belarus won the right to host the show for a second time, after a successful bidding application last year, with their commitment to the show being given why they were to host over others.

This year will see a record breaking twenty countries competing at the contest. 2018 will also see the return of Azerbaijan, Israel and France, along with debuts from new countries Kazakhstan, and Wales. The live show will take place on Sunday November 25th 2018, and be broadcast from the Minsk Arena Belarus.
