This year the broadcaster for Albania, RTSH had opted to hold a national final to chose its entry. On the 23rd September 2018, 'Junior Fest 2018' was held to find the next countries representative. It was held in the Amphitheater of the Lake Park in Tirana. Sixteen songs competed, but it was the talents of Efi Gjika that shone through, with her winning the right to represent Albania. Albania At The Junior Eurovision
This year will mark the fifth year that Albania have participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. They first took part back in 2012 when Igzidora Gjeta sang, "Kam një këngë vetëm për ju". The song came 12th scoring 35 points. It would be three years until the country would come back when, Mishela Rapo's song, "Dambaje" gave the country its best ever result of 5th place. Their two previous entries have resulted in their worst result having come 13th. Could Efi get the country its first top 3 finish, or even win?
All the team at Eurovoxx would like to wish this young, talented singer a "Paç fat"!!!! in Minsk.
