Slovenia | EMA 2019 Announced, With Some Changes
Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO today announced that EMA will be returning as the selection format for Slovenia's Eurovision entry in Tel Aviv, how there will be changes to the show's format compared to recent years.

First and foremost, EMA is set to return to a one night show, after showcasing semi-final rounds in 2017 and 2018, the show will feature a straight final instead, the final will feature a maximum of ten entries, of which an jury will select the two to compete in a super final, the winner of which will be decided solely via a public televote.
Artists for EMA can only be Slovene, however their is no block or restrictions on what language the artist choses to sing in. The broadcaster has also stated that they can also and may invite certain artists and songwriters to take in the selection, the deadline of submissions for EMA 2019 is December 14th, no date was announced of when the selection would take place however.
