Ukraine | First Contestant Of Vidbir 2019 Revealed
Today on Ukrainian television the first artist to compete in Vidbir, the national selection show used by Ukraine was revealed, and it is none other than singer Natalia Hordienko.

Natalia will perform the song "Hirm" (Thunder) in Vidbir, which will consist of three shows over the 9th, 16th and 23rd February respectively, in the past we have seen 18 acts start out being cut down to a final six for the final. Vidbir has been the selection format for Ukraine's Eurovision entry since their return to the contest back in 2016 and has been ever present since, there were doubts and concerns of Ukraine having to withdraw a few weeks ago, due to UA:PBC the broadcaster having to terminate its broadcasting, before it was cleared by the broadcaster itself it was only the analogue broadcasting which were being terminated and that they still planned to compete in Tel Aviv, the full participants lists for Vidbir 2019 will be released in January.
Listen below to Natalia's entry, which starts at 5:27, the song is fully in Ukrainian, if Hirm went onto win, it would be the first time ever a song fully in Ukranian would feature at the contest.
