Malta | More Talent and Familiar Faces on X Factor Malta!

October 29, 2018

Last night saw the fourth audition episode for the X Factor Malta and judges Ira Losco, Alexandra Alden, Ray Mercieca and Howard Keith Debono sat through another batch of talented singers ... as well as a few that definitely didn't cut the mustard! We saw more favourites appear, more familiar Eurovision Song Contest and MESC faces and perhaps the winner of the show... Let's find out who made it through.

Sicilian Kelly Moncado shared her incredible story before giving one of the best vocals of the competition so far, flying through to the next round. She'll be joined at Bootcamp by student Martina Micallef and beautician Nicole Brincat. We then got to see Miriana Conte who Eurofans may recognise from Malta's National Final in both 2017 and 2018 - including her banger 'Rocket' which placed 12th earlier this year. If you haven't already, make sure to check out her performance here to see what she could deliver in the next round.

Rapper Owen Leuellen really impressed with his original rap that could give G-Eazy a run for his money and will be bringing something fresh and different to the competition. Isaac Mercieca - who competed in Malta's Junior Eurovision National Selection back in 2015 - delivered an incredibly emotional performance that won over the judges and see's him competing in the next stage. Glenn Buhagiar's powerful story and song also got him through to Bootcamp. He'll be joined by self-taught singers James Mifsud, Vanessa Sultana, girl group Gold, and incredible vocalist Nicole Hammett who you can catch singing Estonia's 2018 song 'La Forza' here

Finally, two more familiar faces to Eurofans ... MESC 2010 semi-finalist Josef Tabone who came back to place 7th last year with his duet 'Tonight' alongside MESC veteran Deborah C made it through despite his voice not being 100% at the audition and more recently, Petra Zammit placed 6th earlier this year in MESC with 'Evolution' and her raw vocals saw her through too! Make sure to check out all the auditions on YouTube however check out Kelly Moncado's audition below!

In addition to those shown on last nights show, as always the X Factor Malta YouTube channel has also been showing unaired footage throughout the week. Over the week we have seen more unseen auditions and many more talented singers progress to the next stage. Successful auditions came from Milena Bianco who impressed with her vocal strength and Mariah Carey range, Mireille Rose Borg who was compared by Ira to Norah Jones and both Stefan Galea and Ryan Axisa who definitely secured many female fans with their auditions. We also saw Maltese Junior Eurovision 2010 representative Nicole Azzopardi make it through with 3 Yes's. Nicole finished 13th with her song 'Knock Knock! ... Boom! Boom!'. Charisse Azzopardi also made it through after a second song and will be joined in Bootcamp by Rachel Mamo and Jalisse Micallef
