JESC 2018 | Manw Will Represent Wales at Junior Eurovision 2018 in Minsk

This is Llandudno calling. Tonight saw Wales hold its first ever national final for the Junior Eurovision Song contest that saw Manw win. She will be present in Belarus, Minsk on November 25th to sing the song , "Hi Yw Y Berta" ("She's The Prettiest"). The show which is the first of its kind for Wales, means only Azerbaijan, Portugal, Poland, France, FYR Macedonia and Ireland are yet to decided their entries.
Tonight the show was broadcast live on S4C, and was broadcast from Llandudno that saw several talented children sing their hearts out to become the countries first ever representative. The six artists who appeared on "Chwylio Am Seren" were:
Gracie Jane
Lauren Mia
Manw
Misha
Ella Georgia
Lily
The national final consisted of two parts. The first voting saw Gracie Jane, Lauren Mia and Misha eliminated after a panel of five judges voted to send through Ella Georgia, Lily and Manw to sing "Hi Yw Y Berta", the song that will be sung in Minsk. Ultimately it was the audience at the venue, and at home who had the final say, that saw Manw chosen as the over all winner.
Prior to tonight's final, there were two pre-recorded shows, the first saw an auditioning stage, whilst the second saw mentors Connie Fisher, Stifyn Parri and Tara Bethan whittle down many hopefuls to this evening six finalists.
This year the contest will be held in Minsk, Belarus and will be the 16th official Junior Eurovision. The contest will see a record 20 countries compete, that will see Kazakhstan, and Wales debut, along with Azerbaijan, France and Israel re-join the party.
