JESC 2018 | Italy's Junior Eurovision Entry 'What Is Love' Has Been Released

With less that two months until the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, more countries are releasing their official songs, and videos. In the last couple of days there has been a plethora of new songs, with today's instalment coming from Italy who have in the last hour released their official entry with the song "What Is Love"?.
The song which will be sung by Melissa and Marco is your typical love song, and was released officially only an hour ago. Italy tends to keep their entries a pretty closely guarded secret, until they suddenly announce. The official video accompanying the song has now been placed on the Eurovision.tv website, and on YouTube. It has already amassed nearly 2000 views in such a short space of time.
They are not the only duo this year,with the Netherlands also sending a boy, girl singer. The video is typically Italian and see's the two young singers singing, "What is Love"? in Italian with English subtitles. It has also been filmed in Venice, which is fitting as it is one of the more romantic locations in Italy.

This latest release now means only Azerbaijan, Portugal, Poland, FYR Macedonia, Ireland, France and Wales are yet to decide their songs, with the Welsh national final being held this evening.
With under two months until the 2018 Junior Eurovision begins, the artist and song selections are coming in thick and fast. This year a record twenty countries have confirmed participations, with debuts from Kazakhstan, and Wales. It will be a tough competition this year with more countries than ever.
This year will mark Italy's fifth year at Junior Eurovision. They first appeared in 2014 where they won, and last year were represented by Maria Iside Fiore with the song, "Scelgo (My Choice)" which came a respectable eleventh, scoring 86 points.
