Finland | Eurovision's Saara Aalto All Set For Dancing On Ice 2019

Yesterday, it was announced by the Metro newspaper that this year's Finnish Eurovision representative Saara Aalto would be taking part in the hit UK television show Dancing on Ice. This morning, via twitter the talented singer has confirmed that she will be getting her skates on, and taking part in the show.

The young singer will be joined by Jane Danson, Gemma Collins, Richard Balckwood, James Jordan, Brian McFadden, Saira Khan, Ryan Sidebottom, Mark Little and Melody Thornton, all hoping to win the 2019 trophy.

The popular show is back after a several year absence, that will see each celebrity ice skate to a specific theme each week. The person with the lowest score from the public and professional judges will be voted off, until the final week, where a winner will be announced. It will be hosted by popular duo Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Saara has officially confirmed the news this morning

Saara is no stranger to the UK, as she has lived here for the last two years, and appeared on another ITV reality programme X Factor, where she finished second. Combined with Eurovision the Finnish singer has already become easily recognised. Her stint on Dancing on Ice will certainly propel her career forward even more.

This year the singer represented her native Finland with the song "Monsters", which qualified for the Grand Final. Unfortunately she finished 25th, scoring 46 points of which 23 were awarded by the jury, and 23 by the public vote. Since doing Eurovision she has toured Europe, which has included the United Kingdom, and also been present at many Pride events.

The new year will see a new chapter in Saara Aalto's career. Can she do one better and win 'Dancing On Ice'? Stay tuned to find out.
