Netherlands | Eurovision In Concert 2019 Hosts, And Ticket Release Date Revealed

September 24, 2018

Great news as more details have been revealed about Europe's biggest pre-Eurovision party to be held in the Netherlands next year.  Today the team behind 'Eurovision in Concert' have revealed that Marlayne Sahupala, and Cornald Mass will be the hosts of next years show.

Many fans of this concert were pleased to hear that the venue would remain the same as this years, and be held at AFAS Live.  The larger venue will mean that more fans than ever have a chance to be at this unique event, that will see many of the Eurovision stars perform on stage to the fans on the ground.  Last year saw 32 of the artists perform, in the tenth anniversary show.  Although, the larger venue was chosen to commemorate this, the fact it proved so popular has meant that the fantastic organisers have opted to use it again.

Also, more information in regards to ticket sales have been given, and that they will be available from this Friday 28th September at 10:00 hours CET via Ticketmaster.  You will need to be quick though, as they will be snapped up by eager fans.

Cornald Mass is no stranger to Eurovision, having provided the Dutch commentary for the Eurovision Song Concert semi finals in 2004 and 2005, whilst in 2006 and 2007 he co-hosted both the semis and finals with Paul de Leeuw.  He did this until 2009.  He also proved a very popular host of the Eurovision in Concert show last year with Edsilia Rombley last year, so is very experienced, and certainly the right man for the job.

Marlayne Sahupala is also no stranger to the contest having represented her home nation at Eurovision in 1999 with the very up-tempo song "One Good Reason" which finished a very respectable 8th place.  Even after this, she continued with her Eurovision connection by being the Dutch spokesperson from 2000-2003.  She still is considered a very big star in the Netherlands, and will add that extra bit of magic to this event.

Eurovision has been getting bigger, and bigger each year.  There are many Pre- Eurovision Shows in London, Madrid and Tel Aviv, but this one is known as the best.  For those fans not able to get tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, this would be the perfect chance to see many Eurovision acts under one roof.

Last year several of the Eurovoxx team had the pleasure of being at the event, which celebrated the best of Eurovision 2018.  It was a world class show that really showed what the organisers of this event could do.  Are you planning going to the event?  Please let us know if you are in the comments below.

Last year Eurovoxx was fortunate to interview many artists at this event, Waylon was one of them.  Check his interview out below.  See you in Amsterdam 2019.
