JESC | Albania's Junior Fest To Take Place This Sunday

With just over two months until the Junior Eurovision Song Contest begins in Minsk, the record breaking twenty countries participating, are fast deciding on their representatives for the contest.
This evening the broadcaster for Albania RTSH has revealed that they will be deciding their countries fifth official entry at the contest, with their national final taking place this Sunday 23rd September. The country will hold a national selection entitled Junior Fest 2018, which will be broadcast this weekend from the nations capital of Tirana.
The names of the artists or the songs have not been officially released. However, in the information given by the broadcaster, Eurovoxx has learned that there will be 16 young artists all singing for their place to be the 'chosen one', and have the honour of representing Albania at the contest.
Last year the country sent Ana Kodra who sang, "Don't touch my tree", unfortunately she failed to emulate enough votes to make the top ten, and placed thirteenth with 67 points. So far, Albania has had four entries at the contest, with their best ever result coming in 2015 when Mishela Rapo sang "Dambaje" which came 5th scoring 93 points.
This years contest will be very exciting indeed, as a record breaking 20 countries will participating that will see three former nations return (France, Azerbaijan and Israel), along with two new debuting nations (Wales and Kazakhstan).
