In a bid to cut costs, instead of the televised National Final selection process that they have used since their debut, ten talented young performers submitted their songs to broadcaster NTU which were then uploaded to YouTube. Following a week of online voting between the 28th August and 3rd September an expert jury made the ultimate decision taking into account the public vote. Darina placed third with the televote, with the winner being 'Without Saying Goodbye' by Kain Rivers.
