JESC 2018 | Malta Junior Eurovision Songs Released

With a little over two months until the Junior Eurovision 2018 begins. It appears that the pace of songs, and artists chosen is slowly gathering pace. Yesterday, it was Malta's turn to reveal their part in the up and coming contest.
The broadcaster for Malta, has revealed the sixteen songs, all vying to become the countries next Junior Eurovision representative. The national final, will take place this Saturday 8th September at 16:45 CET. The sixteen songs, and artists are as follows:
Giorgia Borg – 10
Thea Aquilina – Back to My Freedom
Isaac Spiteri – Bonfire Nights
Yarin Coleiro – Can You Be the One
Kylie Meilak – Crystals
Lora Grech – Finish Line
Jahel Cardona – Home
Riona Degiorgio – Infinity
Ela Mangion – Marchin’ On
Eliana Gomez Blanco – Music Takes Control
Kristy Spiteri – Nann
Luana Schembri – No Rest for the Wicked
Albert-Lauren Agius – Paper Boats
Zaira Mifsud – Shout Now
Katryna Borg and Rihana Azzopardi – The Puppet and the Clown
Aiden Aquilina Cohen – Wherever You Go

There are several familiar names in the line up, that have competed before, but also some new singers. It is the first time since 2010 that the participating songs have been known before the national final. At the junior contest, Malta has quite a proud record since first competing in 2003. They have won on two occasions back with Gaia Cauchi in 2013, and in 2015 with Destinty Chukunyere. Last year Gianluca Cilia had the honour of representing his country, coming a respectable 9th.
