Poland | Michal Szpak releases new song "Rainbow"

Poland's Michal Szpak has released a new single called "Rainbow".

At only 2:44 seconds long, the song is very angelical and sweet, a completely different vibe from previous singles "King of the Seasons" and "Don't Poison Your Heart". Rainbow is much simpler, the music video is minimalistic, very much like the song. However, the simplicity of the video, which features Szpak stood alone with a microphone, really draws attention to the song itself and the lyrics.

While King of the Seasons has a similar music video concept, Szpak stood alone with a microphone with a colour backdrop, the lyrics of the two songs couldn't be more different.

In Rainbow, the lyrics appear to be full of love and adoration, "It's so beautiful - when you call my name, I am falling down - you are saving me - once again". King of the Seasons, however has very dark lyrics, "No one will look after you, no one will cry".

Rainbow, typically a happy thought and a massive symbol for the LGBTQ+ community, of which Szpak is a part of, definitely depicts feelings of happiness and love, a message that is widely spread among the community.
