ESC 2019 | Estonia confirms Eurovision 2019 participation

Estonia's Eurovision Song Contest host broadcaster, ERR, has confirmed the country's participation in the 2019 contest as well as the continued use of Eesti Laul to select the Estonian Eurovision representative.
Eesti Laul was introduced in 2009 to replace the Eurolaul festival, and the former has since become one of the most popular and successful shows in Estonia, returning Estonia four top 10 finishes in Eurovision since the show's inception - in 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2018. Estonia made Eurovision headlines in 2018, with the dress worn by their representative, Elina Nechayeva, costing €65,000. Elina finished 8th in the Grand Final in Lisbon with 245 points singing 'La Forza', and you can re-live both Elina's stunning dress and voice in Lisbon here:
Estonia has participated in Eurovision 24 times and missed the contest only once (in 1995) since making their debut in 1994; also famously winning the 2001 contest in Copenhagen when Tanel Pader, Dave Benton and 2XL won with the song 'Everybody'.
