Czech Republic | Song Submissions For Israel 2019 Have Opened
Fresh off after their highest ever placing at Eurovision in Lisbon, the Czech delegation announced today they have began looking for their entry and performer for Eurovision 2019.

Today the Czech delegation announced via social media the submission window to be the successor to Mikolas Josef in Eurovision has begun, the submission will be open for two months, closing on October 31st, the rules state the song can be of any style and genre, but cannot have being performed or released publically before September 1st, keeping in line with Eurovision rules and the act or singer must be of Czech nationality.
The delegation however have not revealed yet how they are selecting their entry, in the past going from televised national finals, to internal selection, to their 2018 method of releasing the six songs online and having a online national selection, with the song and singer being selected without any live performance.
Czech Republic returned to the contest in 2015 after an extended period away from the competition, usually citing financial reasons for their non-participation, they first participated in 2007 and did for three years before withdrawing, however they failed to qualify on all of their three attempts, however since their return in 2015, they have qualified twice in their four attempts and scored respectively amongst the non qualifiers in the two times they have not. However it was in Lisbon when Mikolas Josef and his hip-hop and jazz fusion entry "Lie To Me" not only took Czech Republic for the second time in their Eurovision history but up to sixth in the Grand Final, their highest finish in the leaderboard by a staggering nineteen places and finished fourth with the televote in the final also.
