JESC 2018 | Portugal will hold a national final for Junior Eurovision

The Portuguese broadcaster RTP have announced that they will be hosting a national final to find their act for Junior Eurovision 2018 in Belarus. They have announced that they will be using the same selection method as last year, Juniores de Portugal. However, this year, they will not have a televised show, but instead, their selection will take place online.
All interested singers between the ages of 9 and 14 are encouraged to send videos of them singing a song in a musical theme of their choice to junioresportugal@rtp.pt. They have from September 1st to September 15th to submit their entries, after which a jury will chose between 5 to 10 singers to attend one to one auditions at the RTP headquarters in Lisbon.
Portugal returned to the contest last year after a break of 11 years with Mariana Venâncio and the song "YouTuber", finishing in 14th place with 54 points. Re-live Mariana's performance in Tbilsi below:
