Aitana shows sass with 'Teléfono'
Operación Triunfo returned to Spanish screens last year after a 6 year hiatus and it quickly garnered a huge level of attention globally. It ended up being the national selection for Spain's 2018 Eurovision representative and eventual runner-up Aitana cemented herself as a fan favourite. Aitana's duet for the Eurovision Gala (with fellow contestant Ana Guerra), 'Lo Malo', has seen huge chart success as it's remained in the Top 10 of the Spanish charts for the past 24 weeks despite not being chosen to represent Spain and now Aitana is back with her follow-up single 'Teléfono'.
'Teléfono' is a sassy ode to everybody who has been mistreated by their partner in a relationship and has finally had enough of them. The lyrics, translated to English, read "Today I left my phone, not to call you". Aitana is over it and I am sure that a lot of people will be able to relate to this! The song is a fantastic pop song which builds well and is sure to be a huge hit in Spain. Make sure to watch the stunning music video for the single below.
On Operación Triunfo, Aitana gave some great performances which saw her eventually being crowned runner-up in second position. Both of her previous releases 'Arde' and 'Lo Malo' have been very well received by fans - with the former almost being selected to represent Spain in Lisbon at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest! Within an hour of the video being released, the official video for 'Teléfono' has already racked up many hits and that is surely set to continue.
