Planning a trip to JESC? Belarus announces tourists can travel 30 days visa free!


Are you planning a trip to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Minsk, Belarus? If the answer is yes, then we've got good news for you!

It has been officially announced today that Belarus will allow tourists to stay in the country for up to 30 days without a visa, as long as they arrive and leave through Minsk National Airport. This decree was signed by the Belarussian president, Alexander Lukashenko on July 24th 2018.

There are currently 80 countries worldwide that can enter Belarus visa-free, which includes all countries of the European Union, the USA and Brazil, among many others. You can find the full list, and other useful information, via this link: https://34travel.me/gotobelarus/en/post/visa-free-en



In order to travel to Belarus for up to 30 days visa free, you will need to meet certain criteria:

Passport:

You must have a valid passport and it must be valid for a minimum of 3 months from the date of entry into Belarus.

Arriving and departing:

You must arrive into and depart from Minsk National Airport. If you are planning to travel to other places in Belarus, separate rules will apply, and if you will be travelling through Belarus on route to another country, different visa rules may apply.

Money:

You need to prove that you can support yourself throughout the duration of your stay. You must have the equivalent of 49 BYN (Belarussian Rubles) / 21 Euros per day or 525 Euros for 30 days.

Insurance:

You must have medical insurance of at least 10,000 Euros that is valid in Belarus.


Now that the Belarussian visa laws have been relaxed a litte, it has made it easier for tourists to enter Belarus. So will you be planning your trip to Minsk in November?
