Bella Paige finishes second in The Voice Australia

Former Junior Eurovision singer Bella Paige has finished second in The Voice Australia 2018, the final of which took place earlier today.

Bella lost out to Sam Perry in a show where more than one million votes were cast, a record number of votes for any single show in the seven-year history of The Voice Australia. Both Bella and Sam were mentored throughout the live shows by former Destiny's Child singer, Kelly Rowland.

Bella has previously participated in The Voice Kids Australia back in 2014, where she also finished in 2nd place. She was eventually beaten to first place by Alexa Curtis who went on to sing for Australia at Junior Eurovision 2016.

Bella made history for Australia when, in 2015, she became the first ever singer to represent Australia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She finished in 8th place with 64 points in Sofia, Bulgaria, with the song 'My Girls', which was co-written by another one of the judges on The Voice Australia 2018, Delta Goodrem. The song was originally written for Anja Nissen (Denmark 2017) after she won The Voice Australia in 2014, but after she turned it down, it was given to Bella instead.

Following their Junior Eurovision debut in 2015, Australia were represented in the 2016 contest by Alexa Curtis, who came fifth in Malta with her song 'We Are' and in 2017 by Isabella Clarke with her song 'Speak Up', which finished third in Tblisi, Georgia.
