Ilse DeLange performs 'Love Goes On' on US hit show "Nashville"

Back in December 2017 we learned that Common Linnets singer Ilse DeLange, of Netherlands 2014 fame, was to join the cast of US hit show 'Nashville', and now fans of the show have had the pleasure of hearing her perform 'Love Goes On' on the show. The song was originally released on The Common Linnets self-titled 2014 album and despite never being released formally as a single, went on to reach 13th in the Dutch music charts.

"Nashville", airing its final season this year on CMT, is an American musical drama television series set in Nashville, Tennessee based around the lives of several fictitious country singers. Ilse joins some big names on the show including Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Chris Carmack (The O.C.) and Jonathan Jackson (General Hospital) along with fellow Common Linnets band member, Jake Etheridge, who has also had a recurring role in the sixth and final season.

Playing a talent show coach called Ilse de Witt, DeLange performed a beautiful acoustic rendition of 'Love Goes On' on the latest episode. The song itself is very personal to DeLange, who is the sole credited writer, as she wrote it about her father after he sadly died of cancer.

The reception from fans of the show seems overwhelmingly positive so far with one fan tweeting "Your song was absolutely beautiful" whilst another added "What amazing exposure for the world to see what a talented singer/songwriter you are". You can watch the performance from the show in the video below and make sure to check out Ilse and Jake in the last few episodes of Nashville!
