Michael Schulte Marries Katharina Mayer

Michael Schulte has certainly had a year to remember in 2018. He represented Germany at this years Eurovision, bringing them their best result in four years whilst reversing the nations fortunes at the contest. He is also going to be a first time father. Also, this Saturday, the talented singer tied the knott to his blushing bride Katharina Mayer.

The young couple got married on Saturday 9th June 2018 at the old town hall which was held in their hometown of Buxtehude. It was a small gathering that consisted of close family, and friends. The ceremony was witnessed by singer Max Giesinger who became friends with the German singer, after they both participated in the first season of 'The Voice Germany' back in 2011 and 2012.

At Eurovision, Michael managed to drag Germany from the bottom of the scoreboard to the top, where his heartfelt ballad "You Let Me Walk Alone" touched the hearts of voters where it scored 340 points, and came fourth. The ballad that had personal significance for the young singer, referred to his father.

The song charted well in Germany, but also in Netherlands where it receives considerable air play. The song also made it to the charts of several other European nations such as France, Belgium., Italy, Austria and Spain.

It is expected that in several months, the team will be writing about the pitter, patter of tiny feet. The whole Eurovoxx team would like to wish the wonderful couple many congratulations on their special day.
