June 7, 2018

Serbian broadcaster RTS have announced that preparations are underway for their national selection for the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Belarus. It has not yet been revealed though whether they will have a televised national final or not.

All singers and songwriters have until September 1, 2018 to submit their songs to the Serbian broadcaster. The rules of the selection process are:

  • The song must be no longer than 3 minutes

  • The song must be in the Serbian language

  • The songwriter must be involved in the performance in some way, either as a singer, a dancer or a musician

  • The song cannot have been released before May 1, 2018

  • Both soloists and groups of up to 6 people must be between 9 and 14 years old

The broadcaster has stated there will be a jury that will listen to all of the submitted songs, who will then vote on which song they think should represent Serbia in Belarus.
