RTSH Announce Calls For Artists For Festivali I Këngës 57

It has been less than a week, but Albanian broadcaster RTSH seem to be revelling in the success of Eugent Bushpepa's Eurovision debut by officially opening their call for songs for the next edition of Festivali i Këngës 57.  Although, the country have yet to officially confirm their presence at next years Eurovision, Albania tend to use the song festival to chose the countries Eurovision entries.

 

This years motto for December's show is "Come To The Festival (Eja Ne Festival)".  The submission period is only open for five weeks, and will officially close on the 30th June.  Interested parties must head to the official website of the broadcaster for more information.

 

This year Albania was represented by Eugent Bushpepa with his song, "Mall".   It was the first time in three years the country qualified to the Grand Final, and in doing so, he placed a very respectable 11th with 184 points.  He did well with both the jury and public vote.

 

December generally brings Eurovision's first artist, and song.  There is no doubt by Christmas, the first official entry of Eurovision 2019 will be released, and known, and it will come from Albania.
