Mikolas Josef In Hospital After First Rehearsal

Eurovision 2018 has truly begun. Today, marked the first day of rehearsals that saw the first ten countries practice their performances ahead of the semi finals in over a weeks time. This gives much of the press and bookies a chance to see how a song will actually work on stage, and may determine if they will go up or down in the bookies odds, or fan estimations. It has been exciting so far, as many of these artists have managed to pull of some stellar perfomances. However, it has been a different case for the Czech Republic's Mikolas Josef.

In the last couple of hours the team behind his song, has told the press in Lisbon that as a precaution, the young singer has been taken to hospital for doctors to check his back after he had injured it during his rehearsal. As a result he will remain at hospital for the rest of the day, and has cancelled press interviews for today too.

The Czech delegation in a press conference earlier stated that in a bid to show what Mikolas can do on stage, led to him injuring himself. Hopefully, when it comes to the semi final, and we no doubt believe the grand final, there should be no issues at all, and he be fighting fit.

This year, the Czech Republic are in it to win it. They have chosen a young, enthusiastic singer with ambition, drive and energy. This seems to be paying dividends as he is currently one of the fan favourites, and has won himself a whole new fan base.

Check Out Eurovoxx review Of His Performance Today:

His performance today went off to a shaky start, as there seemed to be a technical error attributed to a health and safety issue just as he started. The team, do believe he did a very good job at his first attempt. This combined with his outstanding renditions of his song at the pre-parties is hopefully a good sign of how he will fare at the competition.

Team Eurovoxx would wish Mikolas the very best, and hopes he gets better soon.
