JESC 2018 | Technical Director for Eurovision visits Minsk

The Technical Director for The Eurovision Song Contest, Ola Melzig, has traveled to Minsk, Belarus, to assess how preparations are coming along for the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2018.
During his time in Minsk, Ola visited Minsk Arena, the official venue for Junior Eurovision 2018, where he was able to give advice on the planning and running of the show. Ola also had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of the host broadcaster, BTRC, where he was able to watch some of their programs being recorded.
This is what Ola Melzig had to say to BTRC:
"I liked the LED screens and the lighting solution of the site. And the mock-up of the stage of the Junior Eurovision is not just incredibly beautiful, it also satisfies from the technical point of view all the requirements of the Eurovision team, that there should be a wonderful TV picture."

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will take place on November 25th in Minsk, Belarus. This will be the second time that Belarus has hosted Junior Eurovision, the first being in 2010.
