Portugal | Rui David Qualifies To The Final Of Festival Da Canção
Earlier today, ESCPortugal brought us the news that unfortunately Beatriz Pessoa's qualification to the Final of Festival da Canção was withdrawn when RTP announced that a mistake had been made when allocating the points from the public after telephone voting. The 7 points that the young singer was given were supposed to go to Maria Amaral. As the mistake was corrected it meant that Beatriz Pessoa dropped down to eleventh place with 4 points and one place ahead was Rui David, with 7 points, who now has qualified to the Final on March 4th.
Mistakes happen and it is sad to see Beatriz Pessoa leave us, but we wish her all the best.
We also welcome Rui David to the ongoing festival that is the Grand Final of Festival da Canção 2018.
