Mercy France! Madame Monsieur Win Destination Eurovision

The Eurovision season is well underway, with several confirmed artists revealed. Tonight was all about France who opted to find their representative through their national final, 'Destination Eurovision'. The country chose duo Madame Monsieur and their touching song "Mercy" to represent the country in Lisbon.

After the eight acts performed their entries the audience was treated to a nail-biting results show with the leaderboard changing after every vote. After the international jury had distributed their points, Lisandro Cuxi sat at the top closely followed by Emmy Liyana in second and Madame Monsieur in third. However, with the public's result, everything changed. Indeed they had, receiving a total of 186 points, putting them 22 points ahead of Lisandro. Thus making it 8 artists, and 2 songs that the public now know will be present for the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon.
