France | Alma replaces Amir on Destination Eurovision

France 2 has announced that Alma, who sang for France at Eurovision 2017 with "Requiem" will replace Amir on the French jury panel for the grand final of Destination Eurovision. The show will take place on January 27th at 21:00 CET.

Amir, who was on the jury for both semi finals, was unable to be there for the final due to work commitments. However, he stated on his Twitter account that he was extremely proud of the eight acts that have made it to the final.

There will also be a change to the voting in the grand final. Unlike the semi finals, the French jury will not have any say in determining the winner. Instead, the winner will be decided by 50% public vote and 50% international jury vote.

The three international juries that voted in the semi finals, Christer Bjorkman (Sweden), Olga Salamakha (Belarus) and Nicola Caligiore (Italy) will be joined by the Heads of Delegations from Armenia, Bulgaria, Finland, Iceland, Israel, Russia and Switzerland.
