Malta | Colin Fitz To Host the Maltese National Final 2018

January 22, 2018

With the Maltese national final just over 10 days away.  The national broadcaster for Malta TVM have revealed that the person to host the final will be  radio presenter Colin Fitz.

The announcement came this morning on local radio during 'Carlo's Breakfast Café'  stating that Daniel Azzopardi's successor for MESC would be Colin Fitz.

Colin is known as one of the presenters of the 'Magic Malta Radio Show', and is a well known presenter for musical shows in the country.

The MESC Grand Final will be held on Saturday 3rd February 2018, where 16 acts will have the honour of trying to represent the small Mediterranean island.

The 16 competing Eurovision acts are as follows:

  1. Aidan – Dai Laga

  2. Avenue Sky – We Can Run

  3. Brooke Borg – Heart of Gold

  4. Christabelle Borg – Taboo

  5. Danica Muscat – One Step At A Time

  6. Deborah C – Turn It Up

  7. Eleanor Cassar – Back To Life

  8. Jasmine Abela – Supernovas

  9. Lawrence Gray – Love Renegade

  10. Matthew Anthony – Call 2morrow

  11. Mikhail Attard and Cherylis Camilleri – Breaking Point

  13. Petra – Evolution

  14. Rhiannon Micallef – Beyond Blue Horizons

  15. Richard & Joe Micallef – Song For Dad

  16. Tiziana Calleja – First Time

This year marks a drop in applications for the show, which can be attributed to Malta's failed qualification in 2017.  Could one of these artists qualify for the final in May.
