The First 9 Artists Have Been Revealed For France's Destination Eurovision.

In a bid to reverse its fortunes at Eurovision, France has decided to hold a national final this year. "Destination Eurovision" as it is called, will see 18 acts compete for the honour of representing their nation at the upcoming contest at Lisbon. Today the national broadcaster France 2 has released details of the first 9 participants including snippets of their songs.
The first half are as follows:
Malo’ – Ciao
June The Girl – Same
Louka – Mamma mia
Igit – Lisboa Jérusalem
Emmy Liyana – OK ou KO
Madame Monsieur – Mercy
Sweem – Là-haut
Noée – L’un près de l’autre
Pheno Men – Jamais sans toi

In total 18 artists will compete, and within the next week it is expected that the other 9 artists will be revealed.
There will be two semi finals which will consist of two pre recorded shows on the 8th and 9th of January 2018. The first of these shows will be broadcast on the 13th January. Only 4 artists from each semi final will proceed to the Grand Final of "Destination Eurovision". These combined 8 qualifiers will be determined by a 6 member jury consisting of 3 French famous artists, and 3 international jury members.
The Grand Final will see the winner having the honour of representing France. The winner will be chosen by a combined 50/50 split between the public and jury vote, and see 8 artists competing for this honour.
