France To Select Entry January 27th
France have announced the dates their brand new selection format show - Destination Eurovision, with the final of the selection taking place on January 27th.
It was announced by 2016 act, Amir that the shows will kickstart on January 13th, Amir alongside Isabelle Boulay and Christophe Willem will act as the Franchopane jury and will a 50% say in who will qualify to the finals, the other half will be decided from the International Jury, which features, Christer Björkman, Nicola Caligiore and Olga Salamakha.
However in the final the French jury shall play no part and the three members of the international jury will be joined by the heads of delegations from the following nations - Armenia, Bulgaria, Finland, Iceland, Israel, Switzerland and Russia.
It has also been announced previously, that 18 acts will be selected to compete in Destination Eurovision with eight advancing to the final, the semi finals will be filmed in advance before being shown on the 13th and 20th January, with the final being broadcast live as the public televote will represent half of the result on the evening.
