Serbia | RTS receives 75 entries for Beovizija!

At today's press conference, RTS - national broadcaster of Serbia announced that 75 competitors have applied for Beovizija - the countries returning national selection. The selection committee composed of eminent musicians who will now listen to the songs and then decide who will compete for the chance to represent Serbia in Lisbon next year.
We don't yet have any details of who has submitted an entry as yet, however there is speculation that the selection process will consist of a semi-final, and subsequent final - and this will take place in February.
RTS have brought back the Beovizija selection format following a string of internal selections in recent years. Beovizija was last held in 2009 when Marko Kon was selected to represent the Balkan nation with the song 'Cipela'.
The broadcaster will be hoping the return of the national selection will bring more luck than this year in Kyiv, when Tijana Bogicevic narrowly missed reaching the Grand Final - finishing in 11th place in her semi. When we spoke to Tijana in the summer, she announced she would potentially return for the chance to represent Serbia at Eurovision, but only if the public chose her song. Will she be back at Beovizija this year? Who knows!
