National Final Will Chose The Czech Republic Entrant For 2018

It was revealed earlier that the national broadcaster for the Czech Republic will chose its Eurovision 2018 entrant through a national final. The country will not decide internally unlike last year. The news was announced by Jan Bors who is the head of delegation for the central eastern nation, via his official Twitter account.
It was revealed that six entries will fight for the honour of representing the Czech republic in a national final this January. This is the first time since 2009 that the country has opted for this this selection process, which will see a combination of international juries vote through the official Eurovision app to decide the winner.
Since its call for songs earlier in the year, the broadcaster Česká televise has received over 400 entries. The chosen songs have been specifically chosen to represent different genres of music, and have been chosen by an expert jury. On January 8th 2018 all songs will be released via the official ČT website which will enable fans to vote for which song they want to see in Lisbon.
The Czech republic have not had the most successful time at Eurovision. They have only qualified once since their participation. Can this years entry be a second one to progress to the final? Stay tuned to find out.
