JESC 2018 | Georgia to begin search for next Junior Eurovision star in January

Georgia are wasting no time in preparing for Junior Eurovision 2018. The 2017 edition in Tbilisi isn't even over yet and they have already announced that they will have a national final "Ranina", that will run over three months starting from January 2018.
The competition, that will span over three months, will feature lots of different episodes with children between the ages of 8-13. Singers between the ages of 8-13 were invited to audition at the GPB studios back in October 2017, and since then, the broadcaster have chosen the artists they would like to see compete in the national final. During the show, the artists will have the opportunity to sing with famous Georgian singers.
Grigol Kipshidze, this years Georgian participant, invited ten of the competing artists to the Olympic Palace, where he was able to talk to them about the contest and get to know more about next years national final.
This is the first time that Georgia will use a national final to chose their participant since 2011.
